Fishing For Salmon and Trout: Los Angeles Angels Books

The Angels have no excuse now. They signed the best player since Barry Bonds to the largest contract in sports history, they have the two-way Japanese phenom the game hasn’t seen since the ’20s, and they have an owner who has shown the willingness time and time again to open his checkbook. Now as long as Moreno doesn’t go crazy and cripple himself with the next Albert Pujols-like contract, the Angels have to find themselves in the World Series. Actually they need to! It would be a shame for one of the greatest players of all time to never sniff the World Series. And plus, it would make for some great reading and literature, considering the dearth of options currently available regarding the other team from Los Angeles. The story of the 1962 Angels seems to be an interesting read, but there is not much else here right now. A prompt dynastic like run from Trout, Ohtani, Simmons, and company could turn that right around, making the Angels team of the next 5 years one to remember, IF they can put it all together.
