Baltimore Orioles

In the Shadows of Eutaw Street: Baltimore Orioles Books

One of the most successful franchises of the 70s, some consider Earl Weaver’s style of baseball an early day version of sabermetrics. Pitching, defense, and 3-run homers was long the Oriole’s mantra, and it led them to 6 World Series, including 3 victories, from 1966 to 1983. Times have been a little rough since the Ripken era, but there still is a rich Oriole history to dive into, and with a new forward thinking front office in the Eutaw Street warehouse, we might be writing about how the Orioles again reshaped baseball, but this time in the 21st century.
